Two weeks ago the Bucs were the number 2 seed in the overall playoff picture. Now, after 2 straight losses to division opponents, the Bucs could be on the outside looking in. They’ve gone cold as Carolina, Atlanta and Philadelphia have got hot. Dallas also holds a tie-breaker over the Bucs with their head to head victory. They have two very winnable games coming up against San Diego and Oakland and winning both of those should put them in the playoffs, but I’m still very skeptical about the whole things. Let’s look at what’s gone on.

They got out muscled by a very good Carolina team, that as this point looks like the Giants did last year in getting silly hot at the right time. The Bucs missed way too many tackles in that game and just looked inferior as it all went down.
They lost to a good Falcon team in Atlanta in OT and again looked like the inferior team. The defense did more to keep them in the game yesterday, but in the end it wasn’t enough.

Now let’s look at some other points with the players and coaches.
